Remember when we were home during quarantine with too much time on our hands? What did we do? We Marie Kondo-ed our closets. Here’s what I found during my marathon pandemic de-cluttering sessions.

A half-used tube of Crest with a 06/2002 expiration date. (It’s still good, right?)

A bottle of “Purple People Eater” nail polish, a tiara, and a Go Go’s CD in a pink sequined case (inherited from my mom’s “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” collection)

Four cases of Van Camp’s Beanee Weenee and eight cases of Jif Crunchy Peanut Butter scored from Costco. (Fiber and protein, baby)

A tricycle seat with knitted seat cover my Nanna made me and matching handlebar tassels.

A 1946 Remington typewriter that belonged to my great aunt who worked for the Truman administration. (I wrote my first short story, “Marcia Bakes a Cake” on that dinosaur.)

A how-to book about making Origami cootie-catchers, a Ouiji board, and a copy of the DSM-IV. (Wait, I was a psychologist?)

DVD: The Complete Series, “Three’s Company.” (I had a wicked hot crush on Mr. Furley.)
